“For me, this entire situation is a little nerve-wracking, you look around and people are just buying things on impulse as if we’re going into an apocalypse. But when you take a closer look you begin to see more of the turmoil such as those who can’t afford to buy on impulse like the elderly for example and xenophobia and racism towards Asians. As someone who is part Asian, this actually is very concerning to me, I see all these videos and news reports of racism, violence, and xenophobia towards Asians that it makes me wonder would this happen to me as well if someone were to find out that I am Asian especially on the mainland. I know for sure that this pandemic has made me lazier than usual, I’ve noticed that I am sleeping more than usual and staying up later than usual, it really messed up my sleep schedule. I think after this pandemic is over maybe everyone would be more cleanly and hygienic…. hopefully.” – Alexia Plaza
