How to stream Kanopy films from your public library
The humble Hawaii State Library Card is making a comeback. New valuable online resources, like Kanopy films (documentaries and feature films), make digging up your library card a worthwhile endeavor (and if you don’t have one, you can apply for one online, here).
Accessing Kanopy can be a bit confusing the first time, so follow these instructions:
- Visit https://www.librarieshawaii.org/ and sign into your account
- Once logged in, return to the HSPLS homepage and click on the Kanopy link from the yellow bar at the top of the page.
- From the Kanopy page create a new login specifically for Kanopy. This is the login you will use to access Kanopy from the web or mobile app.
- There are live humans answering the HSPLS help line: 800-390-3611. Call this line for any type of public library help.
Free trial to Kanopy ends April 30th. Be sure to fill-out the Kanopy Feedback Form if you’d like HSPLS to continue its subscription.
